Description
MOSEGOR
Tabs: Pizotifen (as hydrogen maleate) 0.5mg;
Indications:
Anorexia in underweight patients, mood elevation in the elderly, prophylactic (interval) treatment of migraine.
Dosage:
Adults: Starting with 0.5mg (of pizotifen) per day, may be increased 'to 0.5mg (of pizotifen) 3 times a day.
Migraine prophylaxis:
Adults: Starting with 0.5mg of pizotifen daily, should be increased progressively, average mintenance dose 1.5mg of pizotifen daily in a single or in divided doses. In refractory cases the dosage may be increased to 3-4.5mg of pizotifen daily, taken in 3 divided doses
Interactions:
Sedatives, hypnotics, antihistamines including certain common cold preps, alcohol.
Adverse effects:
Sedation, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation
